Facing repossession?
Let's talk through your options.
If you are facing repossession or pressure from a lender, we may be able to assess your property quickly and discuss whether a fast sale is a realistic option. Timescales depend on the property, title, lender position, and legal process.
You may still have options.
When a lender threatens repossession, it can feel like there is nothing you can do. However, as long as you remain the legal owner, you retain the right to sell the property yourself.
A voluntary sale, if it can be arranged in time, may leave you in a better position than a lender-managed repossession and sale at auction. However, every situation is different, and we cannot guarantee any particular outcome.
Why a voluntary sale may be worth exploring:
- Lenders often sell repossessed properties at auction at prices below open-market value. A private sale may recover more equity for you.
- A voluntary sale is generally recorded differently on a credit file compared with a formal repossession, though outcomes vary and we cannot advise on credit matters.
- Any remaining equity after the mortgage is settled belongs to you — not the lender.
Typical Timescales
Open-Market Sale via Estate Agent
Typically 3–9 months or longer. Not usually an option if proceedings are imminent.
Our Cash Sale — where suitable
Can be as quick as 7–28 days
Subject to property, title, legal checks, and solicitor availability. We will give you a realistic timescale after initial assessment.
We cannot guarantee to halt legal proceedings or prevent court action. Any sale remains subject to contract and the legal process.
How we approach urgent situations

2. We assess quickly
We review the property and your circumstances and give you an honest view of what is realistic.
3. Written offer if suitable
If a fast sale is realistic, we provide a formal written offer. No obligation to accept.
Confidential: No "For Sale" boards. No public listing. We handle everything privately. If we cannot help, we will say so clearly.
